sponsored by the Women’s Surf Fishing Club of NJ, and sanctioned by the
Association of Surf Angling Clubs, Inc.
This tournament is open to both teams and individuals.

Beach Permit: Waived the day of the tournament
Rules: Association of Surf Angling Clubs rules will prevail. All rules will apply to both teams and individuals.
Lunch and Awards: Awards will be presented following the
tournament at headquarters. There will be hot sandwiches, chips, &
soda available following the tournament at headquarters.
Awards will follow along with “plenty” of door prizes, rod and reel,
50/50 and more!

About Us:
We would like to take this opportunity to open up our membership to all surf fishing women. If you are a surf fishing woman and are interested in joining a club, this couldn’t be a better time. The W. S. F. C. has elected officers. We have an annual awards banquet, Christmas luncheon, and usually 3-4 meetings per year.
The W. S. F. C. is affiliated with A. S. A. C. and participates in 13 -16 A. S. A. C. sanctioned tournaments annually. We also have our own tournament in Sea Isle City every fall.
If you think you are interested in joining us on the beach for a little female camaraderie, and a lot of fishing fun, contact our Membership Chairman.

History:
The WSFC was organized in 1952. It was the first surf-fishing club established for women on the East Coast.
Its purpose is to promote greater interest and good sportsmanship among fishermen, as well as to cooperate with the state of New Jersey, and it’s sub-divisions, in the enforcement of the laws for the protection and propagation of fish and natural resources.
The WSFC elects its officers at the annual Christmas luncheon held each year in December. They are as follows…President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The WSFC also has appointed committees, they are: Membership, Tournament, Affidavit, Marketing and Banquet,
To be a member in good standing with the WSFC, a member must have their dues ($20.00) Paid at the beginning of our fishing season which runs from January 1st, to December 31st.
All members must attend at least two (2) club functions a year, to qualify for club awards.
Club awards and trophies are given at the Annual Banquet in April.
Any fish eligible for entry in the WSFC annual contest must be caught in the surf, from the beach, and an affidavit must be filled out, signed and witnessed, and mailed to the affidavit chairman within thirty (30) days of the catch. Any fish caught in any scheduled ASAC sanction tournament, will be recognized for the WSFC program and is the responsibility of the team captain to see that the results are turned in.
The WSFC promotes “catch and release”….Therefore it is not necessary to kill your fish for a weigh-in, However, whenever possible have another person witness your measurements and sign your affidavit.
NJ State laws on size and bag limits apply to all registered fish.
The WSFC will send out a newsletter to all its members to inform them of scheduled meetings and events.
Schedules for the ASAC sponsored tournament can be obtained from the tournament chairman, at the annual spring banquet, or online at www.asaconline.org. The WSFC will sponsor any club members who fish in team or individual categories for the WSFC.
The WSFC runs its own ASAC sanctioned tournament in October.
This is a workday and all members are urged to help out.
